One

Some time ago I read a book from where I borrowed its title for this post. It is a book from the same writer that gave me the most liberating book I ever read when I was a kid: Richard Bach, the book from my childhood was John Livingstone Seagull. This second book, “One”, talk about a very profound wisdom that I got to hear several times afterward. We are all one, is what our very essence as human beings can be explained in 4 words.I know it can sound very esoteric, but let’s move forward and try to understand:We, each one of us, are made from the “insides to the outsides” by the same kind of matter. At a cellular level, we share more than 90% of the same DNA so we are literally built by the same “flesh and bone”.Going even further, at soul level if you please, we are made by the same molecules, atoms, and strings of energy that make our innermost environment an amazing net of connection without boundaries between our bodies and everything that surrounds us.So why, may you answer me?, why do we feel so disconnected from everyone and everything that comprises our living world?. Why do we feel so lonely sometimes?, why do we feel so marginalized and distant many times?. What is worst even, why do we feel so different that we claim our individuality as superiority over others?.We say, don’t we?: my life has nothing to do with other people’s lives. My decisions and the consequences of them don’t make any hurt to others. What happens in the world right now, all the killing and the violence doesn’t have to be with me.That’s the way the majority thinks. But then I got a flash idea today, did you think what happens when we fall in love?. We feel deeply connected and identified toward someone that was a “mere stranger” before, is that not right?. So that’s it, LOVE IS THE GLUE. Love is what get us “glued” at soul level with each other. But actually is not like that, we are already “glued” (if we accept what I said lines before), we are all one.So what love makes us, is actually become aware of what is so. LOVE IS THE REMINDER, I must conclude; the reminder of our unity at soul level.
